For example:
-No one ~alicia keys
-Bach's invention #4

(13 years old, been playing piano for a few years now, intermediatish player) "Intermediate" and a "few", both, have a wide range of interpretation.
The above suggested would be good for you. Also, possibly the following, only you know your limitations:
1st movement Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"(only the 1st: the other two - 2nd and 3rd - will probably be beyond your capability).
Try some of the Chopin "Preludes": some are quite simple, easy to play; others will be beyond you.
You may be willing to brave some of the earlier Mozart piano sonatas: some of the slow movements you should be able to handle.
Debussy's "Clair de Lune" you might try.
R. Wagner's "Album Leaf"- a "salon" piece - is simple, and by a great orchestral genius.
Jean Sibelius: "Valse Trieste" is a rather simple but beautiful, sad piece; and you would be introduced to another great orchestral genius.
R. Schumann: in his "Carnival", there are a few, nice slow pieces.
J. Brahms: famous "Lullaby".
These should be enough to keep you busy for a while.
Have fun and enjoy,
Wotan you could try saint saens "the swan" from the carnival of the animals"; "f眉r elise" is the all time classic, or maybe you would prefer to play "balade for adeline". Chopin's nocturnes are always acclaimed. |
