ok im having a problem with the song guantlet.the problem is when i get to measure 98.i cant do the gaint part with the eight notes. everytime i play it i all ways mess up at G-F# the gaint eght notes roup kepts messing me up.i need to get the part done.i want to be one of the people that can play the song.and there is only 1 cellist that can play it.i want to get past that par.so if anyone knows a way that can tell me a way i can get through this? the only way to master a passage is to practice it over and over.
First play the notes one at a time, slowly so you can remember the feeling of each finger on the notes, and only move on to the next note when the note is in tune.
Then, play it in tempo, but slowly at first. (Using a metronome will help)
Build up your tempo until you can play it perfectly at the right tempo for the piece.
You should even build up your tempo to *faster* than the actual tempo, because then the right tempo will seem so much easier if you can play the passage perfectly faster.
