I was looking on www.WoodwindBrasswind.com and I found a 3C that I am very happy with but I was looking for 5D. All I could find at WWBW was a 5SV, 5MV, and a 5V. I was wondering, which mouthpiece is closest to a Bach 5D for trumpet? The Woodwind Brasswind actually sells a mouthpiece comparison book. But if you call them and ask to talk to someone in the brass division, they should be able to look up which mouthpieces by Bach and the other makers come the closest to the Bach 5D.
It also might be that the 5MV, 5SV, and 5V are new names for the old 5D, 5E, and 5F. Again, calling them should answer that question. If you visit your local music store, Bach offers a mouthpiece chart that will allow you to find other equipment of similar quality. |
