Good classical music like classical and rock kinda inter mixed? |
anyone know any of mamby some good classical pieces? Verve - Bittersweet Symphony It may not exactly be classical/rock, but there is a band called Bond you might want to check out. Some of the songs you might recognize. Some are titled 1812, Adagio for strings, Allegretto, Fuego, Gypsy Rhapsody, Highly strung, Hungarian, etc. YES! bond is great.... not really rock but love em' Nightwish is absolutely magnificent! The lead singer was trained in opera and the musician were classically trained and they still would be catagorized as rock. Check out Ghost Love Score If you mean rock with a greater degree of musician it's called progressive rock. It starts mainly with a band called Yes, and then ELP and King Crimson. Currently the most famous prog band is Dream Theater. This isn't that classical. Trans-Siberian Orchestra play classical like stuff, but I really do not like them. In the eighties you had neo-classical metal (worst terminology ever because neo-classical was a movement in the history of classical and neo classical metal sounds nothing like it). The most famous examples of this are Yngwie Malmsteen and Jason Becker, but it also becomes pressilent in power metal bands such as stratovarius and symphony x (more prog than power metal, but whatever). I'm convinced that Franz Schubert invented metal (with Beethoven as a huge influence) because some of his Leder just seems to rock. Also in modern times it still has an influence on metal and the extreme to this is one of the most hated bands ever, Children of Bodom. Also, a boys choir called Libera does use pop beats in their music! |
