Do you cry just hearing the Canon in D? |
Do you cry just hearing the Canon in D? No, but I am reduced to tears by all the questions on YA that refer to it like it is the greatest piece ever written, so fed up with hearing about it. I used to play 1st violin for this piece...I love it. No, there is so much better music that has been written. I agree 100% with answer 2 Malcolm...you are officially my hero. Yes, I do, but the tears are tears of frustration and confusion as to why this piece is played so damn often. No, I don't. No, I do not...I am sick of it ; that and Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise. These are the classical music equivalent of Smoke on the Water....do NOT play in any music shop ! Depends on the mood. Malcolm and Brian777 are BOTH my heroes!! There is so much more out there that is quality music. It was actually the first song I ever cried to. 6th or 7th grade. Then in freshman year, I bought an electric cello, I plugged my headphones in, and wow...there's nothing harder than playing and crying at the same time. <333 Great memories. UGGGG! This piece is beautiful but you can't escape it. It's everywhere. For me there is a better tear-jerker -Albinoni's Adagio!! Yes, it's awful. One chord sequence over and over and over and the same ground bass over and over and over. It's about as profound as the back of a cornflakes packet. Listen to some real music! NO!!! It's ridiculously simple and absolutely overplayed. no coz its a song usually used for weddings |
