I have to play Vivaldi's Concerto a5 for a contest, and I'm having trouble with the last page. In measures 70-75, I have to double-stop (play two notes at once) and I can't do it. Any advice? i know it can be quite frustrating but keep on practicing. you can do it... i think you shoul practice in a slow pace at first then little by little when you get you used to it you play it faster and faster... Okay, I am not a professional nor am I a teacher but try this ; first, finger the double stop with your left hand...now play the lowest string of the double stop....then add the higher string by adjusting the bow angle until you are playing both strings.
They are quite tricky because you have learnt how to bow each string seperately without touching the adjacent strings. Now you have to learn something new. It takes a while for your bow hand to learn the new angles required. practice |
