Do you find cello/piano music nourishing for the soul? |
I sure do. You know the saying, "Music soothes the savage beast." I love music. As a child I use to go into the barn with the Victrola and listen to the one sided Classical records. I have never lost that love. It has branched out to Baroque, Blues, Celtic. I also love cello/piano music. My grandfather could play the piano by ear and we use to stand around and sing while he played. I love the piano, guitar, good violin music. There are many kinds that soothe my soul and nourish it. Where would the world be without the sound of music? Thanks!! Also thank you for the website. I think I left a letter out of breast and wrote beast. You knew what I meant!! lol : } I spend a lot of time downloading various kinds of music to Realplayer, etc. I love music!! Report It indubitably.... Yo Yo Ma is the MAN. Forgive my ignorance, but I was unaware that Chopin ever wrote anything for cello and piano:hhhhmmmm------learn something every day. I sure do too :D Most classical music is good for the soul.......Bach especially so. Chopin is simply the best (listening to him right now!). His music is so emotional and can suit any mood, happy or sad. Playing his music is even better, it's so versatile, simply brilliant. That Cello sonato is superb, the only place I found it was a Classic FM CD, couldn't find it anywhere else. I urge anyone who likes classical music and has not heard of Frederic Chopin. Go and buy a CD by him this instant!!! Or go here http://www.myspace.com/tommyreeg to listen to me playing some. (excluding tracks 1 and 3) I haven't found anything of Chopin's that isn't just wonderful. Largo is one of the easier pieces on the piano. *Very good nourishment for the soul* Yes, I'm thinking especially of Brahms' E-minor cello sonata. So wonderful. I agree with you. |
