I heard a beautiful song written by this composer who dedicated the song to a friend's child who relapsed with leukemia. Does anyone know the name of this song or where can I find it? I would appreciate any help. He does not write "classical music" but you could ask his publisher.

I think you mean the musical writer and musicals are not classical music (this gets intertwined because of Bernstein and Gerswin but they aren't).
