also, do you think they would have ukuleles at guitar center? This ukulele is not bad, but solid koa is better (but more expensive). For a beginner this one will do fine. To answer your other question some guitar centers do carry ukuleles depending on if ukuleles are popular in that area. Guitar Center will usually have one around.
I would recommend getting a cheaper one and if you stick with it getting a better one later on if you need to. Lanikais are good ukuleles. It would be a good one to get.
If you're buying a uke on the net, the best place to buy is musicguymic on eBay. I've know loads of people buy from him and no one has a bad word to say about him.
Also he sets the instruments up correctly. That's a big advantage if you're a beginner and don't know how a uke should be set up.

Guitar center will probably have a uke or two but their won't be much choice and they'll probably be lower quality instruments.
I disagree with Frank. Getting a good ukulele will encourage you to play more and will also make it easier to learn.
The important thing is that you get a ukulele and enjoy it :) |
