Piece with same tone/mood as Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers?

I'm looking for a piece that has the same light quality and up-beat rhythm as the afore mentioned piece. Please help!

PS...please not anything from a ballet...this is for a ballet piece, and I don't want to actually copy something.

It's different but it's still pretty (I think it's prettier).

Wozzeck Act III Scene III Orchester Eplilog (It's darker, but has the airy, dreamy undertone (literal not the musical term)

I would say Appalacian Spring by Aaron Copland, but that's ballet.

Those are the biggest two that come to mind if I think of any more I'll edit this post.

Try Marice Ravel's "La Valse": The Waltz. It's a portrayal of the aristocratic "balls" that were popular in the European courts, prior to WW I: very beautiful up to the end, when it becomes very discordant: a musical reflection of how that way of life comes to its finale.

1. Les Patineurs - Emile Waldteufel
2. Blue Danube - Johann Strauss
3. Second Waltz - Shostakovich
4. Pizzicato Polka - Strauss
5. Hungarian Dances (not a ballet!) - Brahms

Mostly Strauss waltzes are light and heady. Try to listen to them all, and pick one.
