What is your favorite spymphonic piece? |
(A sonata/overature/concerto a symphony plays) Jean Sibelius's "Fourth Symphony". It admits one into the very essence of Sibelius's soul: it is so intimate, that at times it comes close to being embarrassing. Thank you. I honestly thought my choice would not stand any chance of your choosing it: the 4th is one of his lesser known and seldom played pieces. Reassuring am not alone here. appreciation. Report It Spymphonic... is that like classical James Bond? Beethoven's Sixth Symphony The Pastoral. Very relaxing and soothing music. Takes the stress away with this light and airy composition. I'm kinda inexperienced in this area, but if I go back to school or take some classes it will be in music. I buy classical CD's to further my knowledge of composers etc. Beethoven's violin concerto. This is a monumental work. Some say it is the greatest concerto written for any instrument. A simply awesome piece of music. Hand down Gustav Holst's Jupiter from his Planets Suite. ( I dance to this often. It feels so much like a warm spring or fall harvest festival. And it has all that good timpani thundering about. New World Symphony by Dvorak Symphonie Fantastique, by Hector Berlioz. I like the dark Romantic/Gothic sensibility. The music is thrilling and it exerted a huge influence on later composers. beethovens 5th symphony 1st movement i love this peice but any thing beethoven is good to listen i also like moonlight sonata Not very long plays for clavessin |
