Does anyone know this symphony?? |
It鈥檚 as popular as Wagner鈥檚 O Fortuna, it starts with a humming (hum hehum hum hehummm hum鈥?) but I just can鈥檛 figure any word. Anybody got an idea?? First of all, Wagner didn't write "O Fortuna". It is by Carl Orff. Please post a link or tell where you heard the music you are wanting to know about. 1. "O, Fortuna" is not a symphony. It is a part (first part) of a cantata, named "Carmina Burana". So it's a choral piece. The most famous chroal piece's would be Beethoven's Ninth, the Magic Flute by Mozart, Mass in B minor by Bach, Hallelujah Chorus by Handel, but that little hum hum thing you wrote sounds almost like Wagner's ride of the valkyries Bearcat and scenok are correct. And I Ditto Exo_Naza, in that your (hum hehun hum-----)suggests Wagner's overly utilized unfortunately, "Ride of----". God, I use to love that piece; but have become overly familiar with it now: very sad. |
