Is the piano considered expensive? |
okay. would you consider a second-hand 18 yr old piano, selling for $5800 to be expensive? its a limited edition kawai, with the strings totally NOT rusty at all. its in a very very good condition. you can bang on the bass without it sounding funny. especially exeperienced pianists, please help me here. thank you in advance! if its a little pricey, could you state usually how much they sell for. oh, and assume its not from ebay, where things are selling at cheap bargains. its at a piano store If it were a Steinway, it would be a "steal" at $5800.00, of course. Sounds a little pricey to me... I've been in the market for a second-hand piano, and have seen them on ebay for far less than that!! yes Well... we bought our piano at a music store for about $10,000. Seeing as this piano is over 18 years old, I would say that $5,800 is a rather swell price. :-) If the string 'are' in good conditions and the bass sound good, I would say that that piano (escpecially if it is a special edition) is a good buy. I agree with G.B. It seems over the top for what you would be getting. Another stated if it were a "Steinway", it would be a steal. I agree with them too. I would check pianos at a reputable store, look at new piano prices, ask them what they think. Only problem with that is if they don't sell that brand they may knock it. I think the one you are looking at is a bit too expensive. |
