What kind of music did Beethoven play? |
What kind of music did Beethoven play? Rap. He plays Ode Of Joy. Piano, violin, etc. He was a master pianist and conductor. He is commonly cited as being a master of Western Classical music. Actually, he composed more of a transitional style - half way between Classical and the Romantic style. Classical, lol... actually it was more between Classical and Romantic styles. Beethoven had three (or four) styles. It starts with his early style that was mimicing Mozart and Haydn (and personally I don't think it's as good as either), but then he started to go deaf and he began to write the Beethoven you hear today. His third through eigth symphonies (these are the most famous), the Moonlight Sonata, His fifth Piano Concerto and his violin concerto (this is what you hear today with Beethoven). After that is the late peroid which is the birth of romanticism, because Shubert also is composing at this time and his is widely considered romantic. This is probaly the most amazing thing that has ever happened in anyone musicians career, because up to this point Beethoven had been writing for the most part extremely catchy classical peroid. It had an appeal to audiences, but then he started writing Passionate, emotional and just all around great music. The Ninth symphony (you've heard this trust me), his last few Piano Sonatas (which are widely considered his best), and his last few String Quartets (which are generally citied as some of if not the best String Quartets ever) are all part of this peroid. So Beethoven is two genres classical and romantic, but he's generally just called classical. |
