Compare the two greatest songs in classical music,Mozart VS Clint Mansell Real classical music fans only?

Mozart's Carmina Burina O Fortuna VS Clint Mansell Requiem for a dream. Both songs are very powerful, and have been used in movies, sporting events, commercials. When either of the songs come on it's a song everyone knows, but 90 percent can't tell you the artist.Classical fans compare the two, other people I encourage you to download both songs, and see for yourself. As soon as it comes on I guarentee you'll know the songs.

O Fortuna VS Requiem for a dream
Which one's better is what I meant?

"it's a song everyone knows,but 90 percent can't tell you the artist."

Yourself included, eh? As the other two people have said, Mozart did not write Carmina Burina; Carl Orff did. Also, the Mansell piece you're speaking of is not called "Requiem for A Dream"; it's called "Lux Aeterna" and is from the soundtrack/score of "Requiem for A Dream".

You can't compare the two. Mansell is a modern, contemporary composer who has only been doing film scoring for about 11 years. Carl Orff isn't technically a classical composer, but you'd find more "real classical music" fans who would consider him "classical" than they would Mansell.

And as for the pieces themselves, they're extremely different in style and, again, unable to be compared.

Ummm... Mozart didn't write the words or the music for Carmina Burana. Carmina is a collection of medieval songs written by German monks and it was set in music as we know it now by Carl Orff in the 20th century. You're probably referring to "O Fortuna" and not the whole Carmina, by the way, which was very popular in movie trailers not too long ago.
I didn't know "Requiem for a dream" but upon listening to it, I find nothing in common with the Carmina Burana.

Mozart did NOT write O Fortuna from Carmina Burana...that was Carl Orff.

I really do not see your point ?.

Forgive me, but as your other responders stated, you're incorrect in the assignment of the compositions listed to their respective composers.

I would recommend - and it's obvious that you're a music lover and I don't mean to offend you - that you consider taking a course in "Music Appreciation.

Does anyone else find the irony of this question a little unnerving?
