Where can I find good listening guides for classical music?

I need to write a rport about a classical concert I saw of the three romances opus 94 by schumann and brahms sonata no2 opus 120

You can go to a library or book store. They should have the Penguin Guide to Classical Music. it is a thick book. You should be able to find the sonata works.
