i think it was from a movie where kelly 'danced' with bugs bunny "Anchors Aweigh" i think is the name

That's from the classic movie dance number from Anchors Away where Gene Kelly does dance Jerry the mouse of TOM & JERRY.

The original idea was for Kelly to dance with Mickey Mouse but Disney would not agree to loan out their character to MGM. They went with a MGM animation star instead.
