Why does Miss Piggy have such a thing for Kermit? Fozzy is much funnier and cuter.?

Kermit has a vulnerability about him (it's not easy bein' green). He also is loving and hopeful (the rainbow connection).

Because the writers, directors, and/or producers of that specific show wrote it that way lol

I've never really understood the Miss Piggy - Kermit thing at all....a very odd combination, I think. Fozzy is cute, yes... but what about some of the lesser known characters....someone should give them a chance too. :)

I've always wondered about that one, too. I thought Fozzy Bear was "IT!" He's funny, quirky and could sing. Kermit....first, he's so small. I'd have a hard time getting past that. BUT....he does have a sweet heart, and maybe that's where the attraction lies?

It's a power thing... Kermit is the leader of the muppets and Miss Piggy is attracted to males in power!

Kermit is easily dominated and Piggy's guilt tripping and sexual bullying on him works. Trying to dominate a laid back, goofy character like Fozzy would be like trying to herd cats. Fozzy is so childlike he would not even know he was being hit on. No challenge for Piggy. Piggy is a self-absorbed but poor self esteem dominatrix who needs a guy that she can "whip". Kermy is skinny, weak, small, amphibious (neither land or water) and a lot of females know how to scope out the kind of guys who they can latch onto in the hopes of "being saved" from lonliness and living without any sort of affirmation from the opposite sex. I really hate Piggy.

Fozzy is the kind of guy who will take you out to dinner and give you a wild roll in the hay, all the while making you laugh and feel good about yourself. Sure he acts a little dopey, but that's part of his good natured charm. He's someone you could really open up to, and Miss Piggy's far too shut down for that kind of intimacy.

Miss Piggy only goes for the kind of guy she can't have. She dresses like a drag queen, so what'd you expect?

They have a mutual arrangement based upon each other's insecurities: Miss Piggy is fat, yet strong and domineering; she wants nothing more to protect her Little Kermeeet!, who will, in turn, accept her for who she is - who 'does not want her to lose an ounce. He (Kermit) is Intelligent, but puny and green and is really the weaker physically. It is the perfect symbiotic situation, Brains and Body.

Fozzy is gay, much like Bert and Ernie and gasp! Big Bird, LOL!

Kermit is smarter and cuter.
