Does anyone remember when TV came on in the afternoons?

Yes and they just ran a "test pattern" on the screen. I find that I watch alot more TV now than when we were young. I guess that is good and bad.

yup! test patterns and classical music...and midnight closing and yes aust also got the anthem too.
thinking on it...test patterns had more worth than most daytime tv anyway!!
think about adhd and how tv has jump cuts and 3 second bites...about the same attention span as most"sufferers"
