Red Dwarf and Dave/David Lister? |
What accent does the character David Lister have in the Red Dwarf series? It doesn't sound quite British to me - more Irish than anything. Any ideas? It's a Liverpool/Scouse accent. Liverpool has close links with Ireland being a portal city close to the Irish Sea which may explain its similarities with an Irish accent. It's a British accent, just one from the area of Liverpool. British accents are like US accents, from different parts of the country, there are different inflections in how they speak. It's Scouse. He's from Liverpool (just like me!) |
