Is it bad.....? |
My Son is 17 years old and he still watches the Disney Channel. He will often times just choose to watch this even when other shows are on. He is normal and has no learning disabilities. I was just wondering if this is normal for a 17 year old boy to like shows such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody which I know is one of his favorites. When I was growing up Saturday morning cartoons were all that was on and I loved them. I watched them until I was in my early 20s and the only thing that stopped me from watching them is I got a job where I worked on Saturdays. I'm in my 50s now and I believe that I turned out OK. Young people often find comfort and a bit of normalcy in the shows they've watched for years. At 17 your son may be holding on to some of his childhood habits subconsciously because it's very much an age of transition between child and adulthood. A very scary time for some. Full of uncertainties and unknowns. I don't see any problem with it. I am 29 and I like those shows. At least he's not watching The CareBears. well im 17 and i dont watch them, and to be honest i don't know many others that do. perhaps you should start questioning his sexuality who cares what he watches?.. Well if your son is still watching those shows at his age it might mean he misses being a kid and wishes he could still be one....other wise you should spend some quality time with him thats great... its no big deal I don't know what is "normal" T.V. watching habits anyway. If the biggest concern you have about your 17 year old son is that he watches kiddie shows, then I think you'll be fine. I mean, we all watch crappy T.V. from time to time. its not bad just weird totally fine. My son, who's name is "Josh, is 22 and still watches Looney Tunes, I love Lucy, Dick VanDyke. I think it perfectly nomal for your son to watch the Disney channel!! yeah im 13 and disney channel is really dumb. the jokes they tell on that show are so stupid, they are really babyish. my 6 year old next door neighbor even thinks its a gay show. :0 no offense but that is kinda weird........... Its ok. He just referrers to watch. Ask yourself this would you rather have him watching Disney or inappropriate stuff. would you rather him watch porn or go out and get drunk and maybe get some girl pregnant so that you have to help take care of a baby. My cousin is 21 and watches the disney channel...but shes a girl... No it is not bad. We, my husband and I, watch these shows sometimes. Plus, there are a lot of teen aged girls on these shows. I sincerely hope this is your worst problem. maybe he just findes them interesting! i no a lot of people in that position but all of them are just realy imature... maybe your son is just imiture?? if you think about it at least he isnt waching adult shows or anything violent.. id rather m kids wach disny than violent shows,... |
