Who believes The Simpsons should have been canceled 7 years ago? |
This is coming from a die hard fan who grew up on the show. It just seems to me that the episodes post 2000 lost their moral. Before then an episode contained a message and the comedy was written around that message but now a typical episode of The Simpsons is like watching a funniest home videos reel of people falling down. The first few are funny (sort of) but after that you know what to expect and the story (if there even is one) feels like an after thought. I have to agree... I love the OLD episodes of The Simpson's but now it's like it's trying to hard. I haven't even been keeping up with new episodes. Your Nuts!!! Simpsons ROCK!! I still like it and don't expect any message it's just a funny cartoon. I see where you're coming from, but a lot of people, like me, find stupidity funny. So nah, I don't think it should've been. I am a die hard fan too and i partly agree with you. I agree the older episodes are better than the new ones and I'm getting VERY sick of the new episodes that are only bible stories or some other sort of story. But I still love the simpsons! I'm starting to think their running out of fresh ideas with a good story line. WoW. Well I think the show is awesome, although the past few seasons have been a little on the weak side, but cancel the show? I agree that The Simpsons constantly made a point of substance in their episodes, but you also have to recognize that TV in general is evolving. not a chance i have seen a least 20 different shows and i think it is a pretty funny show i don't have pay TV i work 6 days and that is shift work so i don't really care whats on TV i might get to watch 2-3 hours aweek you dont like it because you are growing up, you are trying to be like everyone else and be "mature" well if you are to mature to laugh at the simpsons, then you are dumb Only when I find the episodes too dumb then I do. I do admit I like the weird Halloween episodes more then the bloody gory ones. The Weird ones just seem more comedic to me then the old blood and gore ones. i disagree about the movie, it was a little weak, but it was still pretty funny. I thin the simpsons are moving away from its roots, they need to return to comedy that doesn't involve insulting the president and christians. That seems to be the new thing. Yes, Homer falling down constantly isn't funny. Ever since 2004ish they have been pretty sucky. |

Great fun for young children and the parents, sadly to days programs are not has good. Also i took my son to see the live show, ...All the time! But individually, not all at once. Like, sometimes, I ask myself what would Moe do? Or Larry? Or Curly? But the weirdest times are when I have to ask myself, what would Shemp do? ...I only saw one episode of Extras that had Daniel Radcliffe in it, and I thought it was pretty funny (in a wierd, mature audience type of way). ...i love fam guy...the one thing i can say about that show is that they make fun of EVERYONE...if you're white, black, purple, pink, straight, gay, rich, poor, handicapped, smart, dumb, etc...th... The Simpson's celebrated their 400th episode not too long ago. They're the ONLY cartoon series, or one of only a handful of series to ever reach that mark. Give credit where credit ... The Office. Im patiently waiting for the strike to end! ...173 174 172 ...i love all friends episodes but the one where Chandler kisses/makes out with Monica and then has to kiss phobie and rachle two times that way they won't know that Him and Monica have a thing ... |
