Is family matters like a really popular tv show or was it? Cause it seems like everybody knows................

erchol or however u spell it

It was. But even when people didn't watch it (I hated the show myself), they knew about Steve Urkel (how you spell it).

That is the power of the catch phrase. Most people know about Eric Cartman even when they don't watch South Park, because of his catchphrase "Respect my Authority." They also remember Steve Urkel's "Did I Do That."

Everyone remembers that old lady's "Where's the Beef," Michelle Tanner's "You Got It, Dude," "I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up." The list goes on and on. Even when you don't watch a show, a catch phrase becomes part of everyday conversation and gains its own life away from the show.

It was very popular in the 90s. It has been off the air for many years now.

It was very popular back in the '90's. It is still on air now, but on certain cable channels, like TV land, FOX etc.

i have never watched it before. and i dont think it is popular now. but it was back then.

It was very popular in the early 90's, it was Steve Urkel who was the mainbone of the show, the utmost sterotype of a nerd.

What made you ask?

"*snort* *snort* Did I do that?"

It was on ABC's prime time on Friday nights in the 1990s.

It's spelled Urkel.

Was a very popular TV show, part of the TGIF line-up on Friday nights in the early 90s. The guy's name was Steve Urkel and he was the epitome of nerdiness.

If there was one friggin kid who deserved to get murdered, it was that idiotic Urchal!!

No, it wasn't a popular show.
