Greatest stand up of all time?

Recent poll in UK had Billy Conolly at no 1? Agree/disagree? My fave has to Eddie Izzard

It's Eddie Izzard for me too.

I just wish he would do a little more stand up and fewer Hollywood "blockbusters". Although his series "The Riches" was good.

Mine is Eddie Izzard. Billy Connelly must've been voted in by drunk and deaf people.

BTW, I also love Nicky Wire..

Tony Blair was best, that one about weapons of mass destruction was a cracker.

I loved Richard Prior

So many Peter Kay, Jim Davidson, Jethro and Lee evans

Bill Hicks was the funniest I ever saw.

Eddie Izzard is good too though.

Bill Cosby

Its between Jack Dee and Jimmy Carr.

ben elton

Personally I love Bill Bailey and Dilan Moran and they would be my faves but Lee Evans is really good. There are so many that I could watch, like Lee Mack, Al Murry, Harry Hill and Russel Brand.

Plus Tommy Cooper is a legend...

''I started a whiskey diet last month, I lost three days'' lol

Historically Richard Pryor and Sam Kinison are THE BEST.

But Chris Rock is way up there and he may be my personal favorite.

Tommy Cooper
Les Dawson
Peter Kay
Billy Connolly
Not in that order.

les dawson

love izzards joke about drilling cats
but i preffer lee evans or peter kay

My pick--you did say all time--
Red Skelton--US

Al Murray. Brilliant.

I love Jack Dee

The funniest stand up I have seen is Connolly, absolutely outstanding. Along side that I would put:
Steve Martin
Robin Williams
Bill Hicks
Bruce Morton
Eddie Izzard

The only change in that order is Bill Hicks would be at the top.

to me thats a toss-up between red skelton and bill cosby

Steve Martin,
Robin Williams,
Chris Rock.
Eddie Murphey

never seen Billy Conolly...but you need to check out Rodney Carington!! he is absolutly histarical!!

TIM VINE! TIM VINE! TIM VINE!! Watch him. He's great!

George Carlin
