I want to be a comedy writer. How can I get started?

I'm almost 25, with a respectable office job, but I've always loved comedy shows/stand up etc. At uni I did some comedy writing for scripted radio shows. Is it possible to get into writing as a part time thing along side my "real job"? You know to find out if it is just a fantasy, or if I actually am good enough? I'm regretting never following it further at uni.

Look for a local comedy club to either perform or make contact with folks who may want to test your material.

if you really love comedy, then pursue it! no one and nothing can be the barrier of what you like.

Try finding situations/environment/ppl which makes u funny.It could be anything.This improves u humour.This will help u a lot to start writing&sharing.Remember,their is no comedy without humour.
