Deathnote question!?

what side are you on?
Who's actually right of the two for you?

once id watched number 1
i was on kiras side
because he was just pure genius
(... though the whole cosomme crisps thing was a bit random)
but once i watched deathnote: the last name
i was totally on L's side
because of what light tried to do

so now L all the way

Now that is a good question. In my mind i have to say that i am with Kira to an extent and i do very much side with L as well.
Kira started off only killing people who have committed the same act (an eye for an eye anyone?) If he had left it at that i would have been fine with it. However, he did go very overboard when he started killing the people that were getting closer to him. The police officers and eventually trying to kill L and even his own father!
L on the other hand, as strange as he is from time to time, is doing his job. Something that you cannot look down on. It is up to society to judge what is right and wrong and who should and shouldn't be punished and if they are to be punished how. It is not Kira's choice.

I am on L's side.

I can't decide. Kira was just trying to do what was right and get rid of all the evil in the world, but then the power went to his head. Then I started to side with L more. Very hard to decide.

kira! but L is my fave character anyways lol. its really hard to decide though.... i was pretty much on lights side until about the middle, when it got a little weird (i wont go into detail for those who havent finished yet..), then i started 2 side with L.....

I was on kira's side when he started out taking out the crooks and all the trash, but then he had to protect himself from L and the cops so now he's hurting innocent like that fbi dude & his fiancee i was really pissed at how he did her. Now i wonder what would happen if his dad found him out would he kill him what about his mom or little sis.
L seems a bit over caffenated, but i'm not on his side...i want the dad to find out and stop him

KIRA/Light didn't think this idea through. Just because criminals are criminals it doens't make them 'evil' and it doesn't mean they should die.
Techniquly almost the whole population of the world is a criminal. By the time someone is 19 they have done something against the law and some criminals are helped in prision or have be framed. And Crimnals are people like everyone else, they have a family, friends etc. Like a line from La Vie Boheme from the movie RENT.
"Let he among us without sin be the first to condem." (I think Jesus was suspose to have said something like that but I'm not religous so I don't know).
Yes L wasn't exactly an Angel himself but he was trying to do good. He knew that killing peole was the wrong thing, that even criminals don't deserve to be killed off like flies. He still had a conscious of some caliber. But Light didn't at all. He killed who ever was in his way even inocents. L only put people in dangerous situation but asked their permission first and Lind.L.Taylor was going to be killed anyway.
So L all the way.

L's side! I have to admit though, I used to be on Kira's side at the start, but after a while he just went wayyy too insane for me, and I started realizing how wrong he truly was.

L's side definitely. Even if people do commit crimes and get away with it, they're still human beings, and not all of them deserve to die the death Kira wants them to.
