Kakashi and Itachi Question?

Both are know as genious, what is there relationship. Did they know each other when they were young?

Also what are the ages they both became Genin? Chuunin? Jounin?

Weren't they both members of ANBU (black ops) together.

It's never really been confirmed whether they knew each other very well or not but they seemed know each other a little when they met in episode 81.

Itachi became genin at the age of 7 or 8 and ANBU Captain at the age of 13 but we don't know when he became Chuunin or Jounin. Who knows, he might have even skipped Jounin.

Kakashi became Genin when he was 5, Chuunin when he was 6 and Jounin when he was 13.

I think, they did - they both were members of ANBU.

It's unlikely they ever knew each other, though I'd bet money they knew *of* each other pretty well.

Kakashi is a former ANBU, so he'd have taken notice of a young kid leading ANBU (And likely would have been among the few outside the organization who knows what goes on with them). And I'd imagine a non-Uchiha with the Sharingan would be fairly well-known around the Uchiha village.

However, Itachi is relatively young, likely around 25. Kakashi is around twice that age. I wouldn't be surprised if Kakashi was done with ANBU by the time Itachi was born.
