I dont understand all they hype?

Whats all the hype over Alvin and The Chipmunks why is it so popular I meen I went on you tube and they is so many videos done in the chipmunk videosI think its stupid

I like the original one the cartoon that used to come one when I was little but the way they remaid it ruined it for me

I really don't understand it either. I can't stand the look of 3D animation (when caricatures are done poorly), and the commercials and art I have seen seem to have 'updated' and 'stylized' the chipmunks to look 'modern'. It's not the show I knew as a child.

That said, it's what sells, and a lot of children now aren't familiar with the old show. The hype is because it's actually successful, though I'm not sure how... I'd be more inclined to go see a traditionally animated version of it, personally.

Well, it's a pretty old cartoon that's recently getting a face-lift, plus a lot of advertising companies are giving it a pretty serious campaign. Also, it targets a relatively wide range of audiences, hence it's pretty popular.

If you really would want to, you can try and research it somewhere.

But if you really don't like it, then, that should be alright too. I personally wouldn't watch the movie just because it's not my preference.

I agree it was never a tradition in my family. Quit frankly I think its idiotic!
