Any ideas on Pein's Identity??

I was thinking he might be one of the other two of Jiraiya's genin's that were with Minato? Let me know what you think. The manga has never mentioned anything about them. Plus, its someone Jiraiya has faced in battle or knows from his past.

If you have read the latest manga, you will know that Nagato is just one of the bodies Pein uses. Thus, Pein being Nagato is not possible.

Pein is Nagato, using other people's bodies and somehow has his real soul hidden in Orochimaru's realm. XD Okay, j/k.

If you re-read the manga chapter where Jiraiya trained 3 kids from Rain, you can see Nagato, Yahiko and Konan. There's no possibility that he's one in Minato's team, which has Minato, an unknown pretty tomboyish girl, and a somewhat fat boy. There's a manga page that showed everyone in Minato's team, even the anime has it, but unfortunately I just have no idea which chapter was it. These two unfortunately will remain unknown, unless Kishimoto wanted to tell us.

Nagato was the one with Rinnegan, and there's no possibility that he's Minato's teammate because when he first activated Rinnegan, HE WAS STILL IN RAIN COUNTRY ALONG WITH KONAN AND YAHIKO. Okay, I said it.

My thoughts on Pein:

Nagato controlled Yahiko's body. He has his soul transferred - either Yahiko died and Nagato took over, or Nagato lost his body and took over Yahiko's later, or Yahiko and Nagato emerged, kinda like Vegetto? XD Nagato's soul now is in Yahiko's body, and with Rinnegan and the black swords, taking over other 5 bodies - more like the black swords corrupting the victims' chakra and made their bodies his own? Especially if the black swords = black piercings on Pein's body?

I kind of suck at explaining, so maybe it's more into just me. XD

I thought it's clear that he's one of Jiraiya's students. Yondaime is like... have the highest probability to be Pein

Pein is thought to be Nagato of the Rain Village.

Edit: Hmm... then I have no idea. The Nagato theme really made sense to me. Oh well, I still think he's Nagato -- best theory I can come up with.

They've already said Pein is one of Jiraiya's students. Nagato is his name. He's one of three kids from the Rain village that Jiraiya felt sorry for and trained for a few years, but this was before thew Fourth Hokage became his student.

Did Jiraiya have any other genins along with Minato? Or was it like with, didn't Orochimaru only have Anko by herself, maybe it was like that...

I think yeah, it's Nagato, he just uses many bodies and has he ditched his old one or something? Yahiko was the one who's body Pein took, the other kid Jiraiya knew.

And if Pein isn't Nagato, then what if he's something which takes the form of people from one's memory. Just a theory, sounds too wishy-washy for Naruto though. ^^

Pein is one of three students that Jiraiya trained while he was on a mission (i think) with Tsunade, Orochimaru. Pein contains the same bloodline limit as the founder of all ninja arts, the Rinnegan. and if you already read the Manga, Pein is NOT the 4th Hokage.
