THE GREAT TAMMY WYNETTE!..HE WROTE AND HELPED PRODUCE HER RIGHT INTO STARDOM!

EVEN CO-WROTE ALMOST PERSUADED..A MASIVE DAVID HOUSTON HIT...THIS GUY IS A MASTER AT WHAT HE DOES! WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN THAT HE STARTED OUT AS A R&B PRODUCER HUH?

Why, yes. He was one of the MOST prolific producers. You couldn't haul his hits in a semi.

As Okie said he is one hell of a producer. Without Billy Tammy and George both would not have had the opportunities they had. I just finished reading George Jones biography "I Lived To Tell It All" and in the book George still speaks very highly of Billy Sherrill. He said that Billy kept believing in him even when he didn't believe in himself. Great book for those of you who haven't read it and George bares his soul in it. A thumbs up for all who answered before me.
