Anyone remember "Margo Smith"?

Now you guys have to be able to give the answer to last nights question,fool4

I sure do. Two of her biggest songs were "Don't Break The Heart That Loves You" and "It Only Hurts For A Little While" She is one heck of a yodeler too. I think she still does some performing on The Grand Ole Opry from time to time. A great voice I always thought. She had a sound much like Connie Francis but with more country sound.

Vaguely, didn't she sing about a puppy in the window, or something like that?

That lady could flat out yodel with the best of them.

tommy took the words right outta my mouth... one of my favorites by her is a little known top ten record written by FREDDIE HART ..'while the feelin's good" She did this with REX ALLEN JR..if you haven't heard it..PLEASE DO!

HERE'S A THUMBS UP FOR YA TOMMY!

Yeah. She and Rex Allen Jr. had one of my favorite duets of all time, Cup Of Tea. Used to play that one on the radio. It never gets stale for me. Smith also did a great version of Little Things Mean A Lot.
