Who told the Dixie Chicks to "shut up and sing?"?

Some Bush supporter who disagreed with the Dixie Chicks' stance on war. If only somebody had listened to them, over 3,000 US people would still be alive.

"Shut up and Sing" I think was in some hate mail addressed to them and obviously written by somebody who doesn't believe in freedom of speech.

The guy that threatened to kill them at a Dallas concert.

There was a story out awhile back that they were sent a letter saying that Natalie was going to be shot at the show in Dallas TX. where they were to perform a week or so later. They called in the FBI and escorted them from San Antonio about an hour and a half before the show. Took them to the airport flew them in escorted them to the auditorium just before the show was about to start and escorted them right out after the show.

I think it was Toby Keith, in reaction to Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines saying that they were ashamed that President Bush was from Texas.

I have no idea...

i dont know.. but after their anti Bush speech they were into a huge ordeal with Toby Keith. because he is so all American... he tough by them bashing the president they were bashing America....
i can stand up and say the same thing .. no one boy cots me... why is that famous people get judged and ridiculed for their opinions? aren't they people too??? isn't it freedom of speech?

A lot of there fans did after the political statement they made at one of their concerts, resulting in their fans boycotting their Cd's. Radio stations didn't even want to play them. People who listen to that genre of music are all about supporting the troops and loving America, so why they would make such a stupid statement to begin with is beyond me.

I searched the 'net and cannot find the source of the name of their album.
Maybe their manager?
Maybe a heckler in the audience?
Maybe it wasnt important.
I only found one reference to it.

I pay money to go to a show to be entertained ; not to be held hostage and listen to someone disrespect my country and the president who represents this country.

That was not the time of the place for the Dixie Chick to air her opinion.
She has the right to her opinion; but when I pay money to be entertained keep your politics to your self.
