Is word gettin' around about the love of classic country music? Are people startin' to get it??

Well, it's gotten to the point where we had to get help to provide the kids with a Christmas. Our Pride kinda hurt.The reason we had the 'net was for my man's work. so we're loosin' that. BUT!!! I'm goin' back to work this week hopefully. I am a stay home mom. But with no overtime for my man, the bills weren't gettin' paid & we were nearly starvin'. Things were bad when I was single. But at that time, there were no kids to worry about. Things have been tuff, but goin' back to work--- if my husband's boss meant it when he said he'd work with my man-- then the kids will get takin' care of & what I bring in will help to get us back on track. We all have kids & know they have to come first. I loved being a stayhome mom. But with my man's work being messed up & no overtime comin', things went down hill really fast the last 2 yrs. These have been the hardest of my life. Hey! I am a crazyhefer, never got over the postpartum drepression crap from the kids & I'm as mean as a cow anyway. =)

Hi YOu...lol (only because I have a hard time calling you crazy or hefer...lol)

I like a lot of music but I enjoy participating with the classic trivia because it has taken me back to listening to people I had not in a long time and you have to admit it is a great group of people. I just think the fact that the participation level has dramatically increased has helped persuade others to join in where they might not have before

Check out my question about "I beg your pardon," and prepare to either laugh or cry at the answers. (Or both.) You'll find out how many people around here just have not the slightest clue of what country music is.

I agree with okie-DON'T GO! We need as many classic country buffs as we can get in here. I think maybe some people are finding out about older artists they've never heard of before. But if you look at the answers to some of the classic quizzes or who said quizzes you'll see that the majority don't even know its a quiz and they're googling lyrics and posting them like the person asking the question doesn't already know the answer. Some people just won't ever get it, they don't know what they're missing out on!

I used to be one of the only people who answered classic trivia, but now it seems everyone is! yay! that makes me soo happy. i think people are actually listening to the songs and realizing how awesome classic music is! good luck with everything and happy holidays

Okie said it all. I am so sad to see you go if you need a hand let us know. We need all the fans of classic country we can get.

I don't know what I can add that the others haven't already said. I just want you and your family to take care and I can say that your presence here was enjoyable and I hope that the coming weeks and months will be better for you all. I also had to spend some money I wasn't expecting to spend but I am thankful that I have a home and food. Take care of yourself and hurry back and hopefully when you do I will still be hanging around the Classic Country Music Ranch. God Bless you and yours as well as everyone else on this board.
