Should it be illegal for "NEW STEREO RECORDINGS" to be released?

How many times have you found a song you were looking for on CD and either seen on the label that it's a "new stereo recording," or gotten it home to find it was the wrong version? And do new versions of a true classic grate on you the same way they grate on me?

There are some CDs out there that advertise it's the "original artists," and it turns out there's a group called The Original Artists who are doing covers of these songs. What gives?

Yeah i,ve ran across a couple of those before. I hate them and give them away when i come across one. Usually the place where I purchase my music will let me scan my CD and listen to it before I purchase it. So I don't have that problem anymore.

yes

I personally think it should be as illegal as free downloads.

If it is not the original VERSION it should be labeled in the largest letters on the packaging as a cheap rip-off.

It also P.O.'s me when artists put out CD's labeled "best of" or "greatest hits" which are actually re-recorded material.

IT'S DISHONEST!!!!!!!

Yes it bothers me. I think it all comes back to what we say so often it is all about the almighty dollar.
