When you read these words...? |
This is the last cowboy song the end of a hundred year waltz Ya know Tex I never really thought about it until I saw this question but maybe being on the inside track Ed knew things were going to make a big change. I guess we lovers of the classic country music will one day have nothing but what we have on tape, CD or vinyl. Boy howdy I hope my tapes and Cd's last as long as I do. It is sad just to think about not being able to listen to them. Yes... the freedom to be a real cowboy!!! Tommy, I've got stax and stax of vinyl I can't listen to now because I don't have my turntable with me. And so much of it is not making its way to CD. Included is the very song being talked about here. I think Ed Bruce was either being prophetic here, or he did know something at the time that we didn't. Interesting observation. Needs TO MUCH(u know) to BE a Counrty & ORIGINAL COWBOY !!! You have it? I have not heard Ed Bruces version, I have Waylon and Willie and the boys on an album but I always thought it was about the dying cowboy and cattle being trucked now |
