I need help finding the name of this country song and who sings it.?

Ok it sounds like Cross Canadian Ragweed singing but i cant find the damn thing on any of there CDs...the lyrics i remember are "Moving on down the road" or its "Cruising on down the road" either moving or cruising then he starts to sing lyrics to the old Doobie Brothers song Black water, "Wanna hear some funky dixie land, pretty mama gonna take me by the hand, by the hand, take me by the hand pretty mama, gonna dance with your daddy all night long." Again I swear it sounds like Cody Canada from CCR but i can not find it any where. If you know what song im talking about plz tell me the song name and the person who sings it. If you have any more questions just post them and i will answere if possible. Thanks.

I am wondering if it could be "Mercury" by steve miller band, i doubt it though, but it does have cruising on down this road in it!

go to cmt.com and type in some of the lyrics in the search bar. i am sure you will find out the name of the song. you might even be able to listen to it. it is all for free. you can listen to almost any song that you want at cmt.com with a music video to that song. good luck!

sorry, I can hear the song so clear in my head, but dont remember who sang it. now it's going to bug me all night.:-)
