What should I wear to a country/bluegrass club where we will be dancing?

I'm 48 (female), a total city girl. I'm in good shape, a size 6-8, and have never been to a country music club but having a date this weekend with a guy. Also, I can't dance this kind of stuff. :( I'm thinking of blue jeans with black heels (that aren't real dressy) and a black V-neck sweater. I have a knee-length plaid pleated skirt I could wear with a sweater and maybe get some ankle boots to go with it. Suggestions, please! :)

The blue jeans and the black V-neck sweater will work but you need to wear comfortable low-heeled boots or shoes if you want to dance. Cowboys are ALWAYS willing to teach a gal how to dance. Just hang on tight and have fun.

Well , How about something comfortable if you're going to be dancing low shoes that slide leather soles.

The blue jeans and sweater sound good. The heels are a no-no, get yourself some cowboy boots, or wear a flat shoe..cuz you're going to be dancing, trust me, you will be dancing.

I think it depends on the club. The country club that I normal go to plays country until about 11:30 then they play a mix of upbeat country and hip hop or whatever it's called. Also the club I go to is very crowded so there is no room to really dance you just kind of stand in one place. I normally wear jeans, a cute club top (it gets hot dancing, and with all the people), and I normally wear heels, but that's just me. Good luck and have fun that;s the important thing.
