Didn't Hank Snow do the song, " I've Been Everywhere ", long before Johnny Cash did?

I don't recall hearing Cash's version until much later. Am I mistaken or not...?

" Fool For 4 Tommy Collins ": They still that run that commercial you're talking about. I've heard it many times, but never until after he passed...

Yes, Hank's version was first (1962 as someone said). It was also covered by Lynn Anderson, Willie Nelson, Asleep
At The Wheel, and many others.

Johnny Cash came first.

Don't know what year, but yes Hank Snow was first.

I believe Hank snow was the first to record it.

I always thought Hank Snow did it first. I do recall Johnny's voice being used in some motel advertisement on television a few years back. I have never heard Johnny's version and to me it would be hard for anyone to beat Hank Snow's version. I sure couldn't talk that fast and name all of those places.

yea long b4 1950s mate`???

Without a doubt ... Hank Snow.

BTW, I like that answerer's screen name, Fool 4 Tommy Collins. "He came to hang a gold one on the wall."

Hank's recording of "I've Been Everywhere" was released in 1962. The version of Johnny's that I have heard is much later in life (possibly as late as the 90's). I don't know if there was an earlier version.

yes sir

I Think so*
