Classic Country Music Fans--Don't you think it's time?

My fellow Y/A classic country music fans don't you think it's high time that we all started getting along with each other on here? We are all adults and should act like adults. None of us knows everything about the music we all love so well but the bickering between the ones who have been on here for a long time needs to stop and we need to welcome the new classic country music fans into our circle of friends. As I have said before the he said she said causes a lot of needless friction. Lets' all get back to doing what we are supposed to be doing on here and spread the good word about classic country music and stop the infighting. Let's all make up and start over. The points won't pay your bills or buy you a tank of gas so it ain't no big deal. Jealousy can cause too many problems. I like all of you and have met some wonderful people on here so let's all get back to the good old days. What are your thoughts on this suggestion????

I learn from all of you in many ways. I just want it to be where we can have fun and nobody get angry or get their feelings hurt. I have been blocked by some folks and never knew why and yes that does hurt one's feelings. We are all human and make human mistakes but we should try to forgive. The key here is to forgive and move along and enjoy what we are here for and the points ain't what this should be about at all.

I couldn't agree with you more ,Someone anyone show me what you have bought with your points,and I'll let you bend and I will kiss it,I've always heard that money was the root of all evil,on here not the case it appears,You people who are jealous,why don't you grow up,I assume you are adults,why not act like you are,if you can't fake it till you make it,This answer is not directed to the ones who are the real deal just to the few as-----s,and you do know who you are,. so be kind to one another,invite the new people,try to share your knowledge with others,I don't know every thing,and neither do you,if you think you do,you have a very rude awakening coming Let's all get along,it's not hard to do,just get rid of your hard heart,then we can all show and share with each other,on the road we are all on,Life. Getting along sounds wonderful. Except there's always gonna be one or two people who just like to start trouble. I wish they wouldn't do that. I think we need to set an example for those who come in to the country section. I want people to think "wow" what a great group of people. I want to educate those who don't know about country music. And I like learning a thing or two myself.

I agree with you Tommy. Unfortunately you are always going to encounter some mean and rude people. For instance the one with the Oprah comment up there! Ignore it.

As for your wanting everyone to get along. Me too. I don't see it ever happening, but one can only hope. We just have to learn to be excepting to everyones comments whether we agree or not.

Just because some of us fans of country aren't familiar with as many classics as you or the others, doesn't mean we don't care. It simply means we need you, Okie, and Tex to teach us what we need to know!

Yessirree, I agree. No point in bickering about something like this. After all, we ALL like country music, right? ... some just might have different ideas of what constitutes "good" country music.

Heck, it can't hurt to just give it a listen. You might even like it... who knows?! Since this is a place where country fans congregate... maybe it's also a place where country fans can discover new, original music together.
Then again... maybe not.

Alright!!! I'm with you. I can get all the gripin' and arguin' I want right here in my own house due to all the stress and worry and the kids and this efficiency we're in. So yeah. I didn't come here to argue. I glad we're seein' more people askin' about Classic Country. It means we just may get that section yet.

Howdy Tommy..first I'd just like to apologize for my remarks yesterday. I was the one out of line and I took it out on someone who I appreciate very much. I do not knor will I ever claim to know half as much as Okie and Tommy and several others in here. One reason why I like coming in here is because I can pick their brains for information that I never knew about country artist. I have found that between all of us in here we can cover a wide area of country music, from old classic stuff to the new age country of today. We can cover Bluegrass to Honky Tonk. I mentioned to Okie earlier that between us all.. there is no one that can come in here and ask a question regarding country music and not get a correct answer. and all thats possible becuase we love this music. We all bring something into this category and I believe it's the best category around. Once again I appologize to Okie and anyone else I may have offended last night. If you knew me personally... you would know I am not that way. Thanks everyone... C-y'all soon.

Apparently I missed something here but after reading these responses, I can gather something transpired between Okie and Tex which all I can cay is, that is a shame if it did and I can't imagine. I don't want to or need to know any details; I think I am better off without them because I have a fondness for both of these people.

There has been something in the air in regard to this section and I have been witness to small things on many occassions; I choose to let it roll off my back for the most part but I would be lying if I didn't say that it disturbs me and wonder if it isn't the reason that we have seen some good participants leave. I can name several off hand, Forbes, Chevy4x4, My Uncle Dodge, Martin, Macy and I am sure there are others but those come to mind as standouts. Maybe they are the wiser, who knows but I keep coming here because for the most part, I have always enjoyed it though it has gotten a little ugly on occasion.


Tex is suspiciously absent today so I am going to assume it is something directly related to this. I have no answers as to why things happen like they do, we humans are a funny species filled with all kinds of ego and emotion. I would hope that when a group chooses to participate in something as a whole, that they genuinely share a common interest in; that they could do so with being respectful and appreciative of one another.

I don't normally get into these types of discussion because, well, I guess I think my opinion doesn't matter that much but this time it is apparently between two people that I enjoy sharing space with. Looks like Okie extended an olive branch and all I want to say is that I hope Tex does the same.

Oh, and to answer your quesion...lol (sorry) It is a great and worthy suggestion; I just hope everyone here steps up to the plate.
