Where is her mom?

I understand that her mother left when Kelly was small due to Kelly's father's abuse of mother.................what I do not understand is how a mother could leave without child???
By the words to song you can see how this hurt. God bless her grandfather......looks like he did a good job raising her.

Kelly's mom gave her up when she was just a little girl. From what I read, I think her grandmother raised her.

Well, now that she's all grown up & making it big, her mother's trying to make amends with her. Kelly wants no part of it & I think she's doing the right thing.

Why would a mother give up her little girl, not have any contact with her for years & now that she's making her way in the world (not to mention making some money), her mother wants back into her life!!???

Sounds a little fishy to me!!

Kellie seems to have turned out just fine without her mother's help, thank you very much.

I think Kellie is amazing, I mean look at all the hardship she has overcame. Her mother abandoned her at the age of two, her father is a drug addict alcoholic convicted felon, she lost her grandmother who raised her.
I want to wish Kellie all luck in the world with her career and in her life. Also her grandfather has got to be a living angel.

I am a Mom/Grandmother. I would like to have MORE than a word with Kellie's mother.

wait so kelly's mom left, and now wants to talk to her and be with her? i think she does cuz now she's big and made a song about her and doesn't want to be...well you know what i mean
