Whatever happened to...?

Homer & Jethro? Loved their parodies of current country hits. (current at the time anyway.)

Homer (Henry D. Haynes) died of a heart attack August 7, 1971 and Jethro (Kenneth C. Burns) died of cancer February 4, 1989.

"How much is that doggie in the winder, with a basketball nose on his face? You know what a basketball nose is, it dribbles all over the place."

Jethro Burns went onto pioneer jazz mandolin and did a series of stunning recordings in the 1980s.

I don't know whatever became of them, but Cigareets, Whiskey and Wild, Wild Women sure used to crack me up when I was a kid.

Both have passed away.
