Have the Dixie Chicks forever lost their country fan base?

Have the Dixie Chicks forever lost their country fan base?

They lost my support when they turned their backs (well the little short one with the funny eye) on their country and its military.

I don't know. But now that you bring it up, I haven't heard from then in it seems like forever. Although they're first cds were better than the more recent.

Oh well.

No..i like them still...

No their still out there selling Cd's and tickets to their shows. Hey if people want to keep holding a grudge against them that's their problem. I,m going to sit back and enjoy the music they continue to put out.

They didn't lose me by bashing America and our President while their feet were planted on foreign soil. I didn't like their music or Natalie Maines's voice in the first place. Their sound just grated on my last nerve long before they made their mush-brained political misstep.

Nah, I don't believe they have lost their whole "fan base". Some of it more than likely, just based on what they said and all that. I have always liked them, and I probably always will. I'm not a huge fan of them, but I do like 'em a bit.
I have a friend that has totally different political beliefs than I do, but we are still friends, we just tend to avoid getting into political discussions. One thing I was taught..never debate religion, or politics. So, I don't care about their personal beliefs, I just like their music.

I don't know. I didn't like them before their little snafu.

Not here in Canada. They rock. I love their music.

Not me!! They are awesome.. & HONEST!

They disagreed with what was/is going on in the country,( as is their right). They spoke out(using their freedom of speech) and got trashed by their fans and the media.
This is one fan that has stuck with them.

YES THEY HAVE!!!! i use to be a BIG fan, but since they said what they said....they threw away thier careers and my support!

I don't think so I think many people got angry with them but I think they regained those fans back. I still LOVE them I think the Dixie Chicks are an amazing group. I think yes there are some people that will never listen to them again. But there are some just so amazing songs by them that I'll always listen to like Travelin Soldier. I think maybe if they came out with another cd it may not sell has many as they have in the past but I would buy it!!!

I was a fan but I no longer am , I spend my time listening to that new all male band now called " The Chixie Dicks ".......

I was a fan until Natalie trashed us in the U.K.
What a fiasco !!!!
I think they have turned their backs on the Country Music genre' and gone Pop. I wish them luck in their new ventures, but they can't sell concert tickets in Texas. I'm secretly glad the Houston concert was canceled due to poor ticket sales.
They have no respect for Texas so I have no respect for them.
