Was "We're Bugging Out" a parody of Hank Snow's "I'm Moving On"?

Read about this bugging out song being sarcastically sung by GIs in the Korean War, and just wondering. Old vets, speak out... tell a young fool he guessed right.

You are correct The Bug Out Ballad" was indeed a take off of the old Hank Snow song I'm Movin On. This song was about life in Korea and the words to it escape me at the moment but it was funny and Yahoo probably would delete the answer anyway if I could remember all of the words because it gets pretty rauncy in some places. Homer & Jethro also did a parody of the song that goes something like this; "I let a man work on my car and he grabbed hold of the spark plug wire now he's movin on" etc etc.

Fool4 has it correctly.
Homer and Jethro had the best parody of "Movin On".
"We hired a fellow, come from the city, then he picked up a little stripped kitty... He's movin on... He'll soon be gone... We held our nose while we buried his clothes... He's movin on."

"Old grandpa turned white as a sheet when his false teeth fell into his Cream-O-Wheat... He's movin on.... He'll soon be gone.... He shifted his gears and wiggled his ears... He's a moving on."

Old uncle Ned got awful clean when he fell into the washin machine... He's movin on... He'll soon be gone... He just couldn't straddle that dog-gone paddle.. He's moving on !!!
