Does anyone out there know any good country western albums?

George Strait 50 Number Ones
Johnny Cash The Legend of Johnny Cash Vols. 1&2
David Alan Coe 17 Greatest Hits

Sport fan must like Britney Spears or something

go with Reba (you cant go wrong)

anything by Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., Charley Pride.....pretty much anything that's classic country is a safe bet!!

If you're lucky enough to find one, anything by Bob Wills.

Asleep at the Wheel also has several albums of great Country Western music.

You might need to go back several decades to find some REALLY good music. Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry, The Delmore Brothers, and most of the music before the 60s.

Good Luck and keep looking !!!!

that's a trick question !

" Sweetheart of the Rodeo " by The Byrds is highly regarded .

Buy yourself a copy of " Dr. BYRDS and MR. HYDE ", the 1968 album by the BYRDS

Nope, is there such a thing?

Do you mean country songs with a western flair like cowboy songs or just country music in general. It is really hard to suggest point blank albums for people not knowing there tastes but if you like classic country cowboy story type songs, I would look up Marty Robbins, Gene Autry, Sons of the Pioneers, Tex Ritter and Patsy Montana along with Don Edwards, Chris LeDoux, Michael Martin Murphy and Riders in the Sky.

I would also suggest Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The Highwaymen and for newer artists, Dwight Yoakam and Brooks and Dunn. I would take some time and go through the youtube videos if you have a chance in type in the artist names that people suggest to you and see if there is anything you like.

go to www.amazon.co.uk and put in country western and im sure you will find what you want

The Dillards made quite a few albums in the 1960s on the Elektra label, and they use a lot of traditional US and British folk based music.

Earth Opera's The Great American Eagle Tragedy (1969) is good, though not strictly C & W does have a few tracks like it. Also, Paul Siebel recorded two albums: Woodsmoke and Oranges (1970), and Jack-Knife Gypsy (1971), and these two have a C & W tinge to them.

All the above are available on Elektra, via the Rhino Label compact disc reissues.

Gold by Ryan Adams, Honey From The Tombs by Amy Millan, and if you're feeling mroe traditional, try Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson's VH1 Storytellers album. All classics.

garth brooks greatest hits, or his scarecrow album x

Do look up Marty Robbins "gunfighter ballads" yrag.. So well done, you don't have to have much imagination to picture each tracks whole story in your mind as it's being sung.

country sucks
