What's the meaning of the song, "where is the love" by the black eyed peas?

I'm no expert, but I have that CD and I think that they are opposed to the war in Iraq, as well as President Bush. There's a secret track on the cd and it's basically calling Bush an idiot (in not so many words). I think it also may be about how selfish people are in general.

It means exactly what it says - where is the love?? It is all about the hate going on here in the U.S.
People are hating people for their skin color or religion, even though many religions teach to love everyone. This country is trying to fix issues in other countries, yet we have so many problems of our own. It talks of things like why people only believe in their own point of view or religion and the amount of hate aimed at other people's life and religion. Too much hate going on and not enough love and understanding.

If i recall correctily the song was meant to encourage world peace and to combat racism. Some of the money the sond made was donated to charith though i am not sure which

its talking about how the world is going down the tubes and ppl have stopped caring for others!
