Which do you prefer?

Willie is a natural first choice for anyone, I wanted to know which would you prefer of these two.

While I enjoy both鈥檚 vocals on this song, I have to go with Elvis. I like his version both for the instrumentals and his delivery of the lyrics. I think his version sounds a little more permanent; as if it can't be changed until they meet again in an afterlife. It is just a little more mournful sounding to me.

I enjoy Olivia's vocals as much but there is a different tone in that perhaps I don't feel the permanence of seperation; almost as though she still has hope it could change and I definitely don't like that "boing boing" thing going on in the instrumentals...lol

I have to say Elvis or my wife will kill me.

How about Willie Nelson?

Elvis is the king, and I love Olivia, too, but on this particular song, I prefer Willie Nelson.

Given these two choices I will say Elvis.

I've never heard either of these versions..sorry.

Only if my life depended on it I would choose Elvis, and you're right the best choice is Willie.

Can't stand Olivia Newton John, so of the two, I would have to go with Elvis.
