I find country (music genre) pretty good and i'm only 19? You think its weird?

I listen to pretty much everything other than hardcore rock(the ones with screaming from beginning to end)
Mostly trance,hiphop,r&b, anyways just couple months ago
I was on a joy ride, couple country songs popped up, by
tim mcgraw, not bad, now i like country just as much as other genres, any other ppl my age out there in country?

you aren't wierd at all...im 18 and i have loved it ever since i was 14 and heard the song 'its 5 o'clock somewhere' by alan jackson and jimmy buffet. country is awesome because there is actually a story behind the song, the instruments sound great, and the songs really stir up emotion and passion within. do i sound wierd? lol i guess im just obsessed :]

It's not weird. Everyone's taste in music varies. The only country music I enjoy is early country, but by today's standards, it would fall more into rockabilly. Like what you like and rock out! (Or in your case, country out!)

No I have like country music since I could remember. I listen to everything but countrys my fav.

No, why should it be weird? After all listening to country music is a good thing, some songs teach about good family values. It's music you can understand and not have to rewind it 4 or 5 times just to catch what he/she was saying. It does not promote violence(well not the way gangsta rap does) and country fans are just down right nice people.

Welcome to the crowd. I'm not even as old as you and it's the best IMO. Especially Traditional Country.

I don't think it's weird at all! I'm 24 and I love heaps of different types of music.

My iPod has got heaps of different genres of music, from Country to Heavy Metal (even the screaming ones!) and Pop to Classical.

I love it all! I find that sometimes I don't feel like listening to a particular genre so I just listen to something else!

But country will always be my favourite music to listen to!

I have listened to country all my life (21 yrs). Everyone is entitled to listen to whatever music they like. Country is my favorite-so that is what I listen to. Glad you are able to appreciate all sorts of music. Especially Country :)

No not at all I love country music and all kinds of music and I am only 17 I have loved it since I was like 12 lol. My family hates it so how I grew up to love it is beyond me.But no it is not weird everyone likes different things and you just happen to like country. :)

It's not weird at all.... 1) you can actually understand what they are singing 2) they sing about real life things 3) of all genres (besides Christian) they actually have morals and values. For the most part Country music is still a good influence on society and things that matter. (yes you have your songs thrown in that might not be so much, but usually you can tell the artist is joking, like in "Goodbye earl")

Listen to what you like and don't worry about what other people say. You are the one being entertained.

im 18 and i have been listening to country music since i was 10....and tim mcgraw is wat got me started on it...you are definately not alone i have noticed more n more ppl our age are listening to country music. i too listen to other music but country always seems to have a song that goes with wat i am feeling.

I dont think it wierd at all Im 23 I live on Long Island where they dont even have country music stations GASP!! I know I know... and I freakin love it... If anyone has anything to say about it I respond in one of two ways... I ask them to name me three songs AND artists of those songs... 10 times out of ten they cant do it. It helps them to realize they should not comment on something they know nothing about... or I just tell them that country is songs the for me reflect what I think is important in life =)
