Who is called The Big Daddy and do you know the name of the song?

he sings with the words ' well now everybody''s watching and you finally got your dream '

The song name is correct but not he singer

Long black limousine, Elvis's versions has the lyrics you mention, (see below the original version)

There's a long line of mourners, winding down through our city
Their fancy cars are such a sight to see
They must be your rich friends that knew you in the city
And now they've finally brought you back home to me

The papers told of how you lost your life
Of the party and the fatal crash that night
The race out on the highway and the turn nobody's seen
Now you're riding in that long black limousine

You said the day you left me that you would be returning
In a fancy car, for all the town to see
Well now you've finally come back, yes you've finally got your dream
Now you're riding in that long black limousine

The papers told of how you lost your life
Of the party and the fatal crash that night
The race out on the highway and the turn nobody's seen
Now you're riding in that long black limousine
Now you're riding in that long black limousine

ELVIS PRESLEY'S version has an additional verse and some small variations in the lyrics:
There's a long line of mourners, driving down our street
Their fancy cars are such a sight to see
They're all your rich friends who knew you in the city
And now they've finally brought you home to me

When you left you know you told me that some day you'd be returning
In a fancy car, all the town to see
Well now everyone is watching you, you've finally had your dream
And you're riding in a long black limousine

You know the papers told of how you lost your life
The party and the fatal crash that night
The race up on the highway, the curve you didn't see
Now you're riding in that long black limousine

Through tear-filled eyes I'll watch as you ride by
A chauffeur at the wheel dressed up so fine
Well I'll never love another - all my heart, all my dreams
They're with you in that long black limousine
They're with you in that long black limousine

Origins
The first recorded version seems to have been by Wynn Stewart in 1958. It was recorded and issued as a single on the Crest label by Vern Stovall in 1961. Glenn Campbell was recording on the Crest label at around the same time (as was Bobby George), and he recorded the song a year later. It was subsequently recorded by a variety of country singers, and by Elvis Presley in 1969 on his "From Elvis In Memphis" album.

Merle Haggard - Long Black Limousine
