I was told that it will air during the first week of February. Production began on August 17, but has halted in late November due to the writers' strike. As a result, the current plans are to air the first eight episodes of a shortened season.

In season 4, more of the Island's secrets will be revealed as the castaways continue to seek rescue after making contact with a freighter. Season 4 will feature both flashforwards and flashbacks.

February 4, 2008. It'll run for eight episodes, then come back whenever the writer's strike ends.

The season 4 premiere "The Beginning of the End" will air in the week of February 4th. Exact date and time not announced yet.
They'll air the first 8 episodes but there MIGHT be a delay after that for the remainder, pending outcome of the writers' strike.

February 6, 2008. As of now we will only see 8 straight episodes due to the writers' strike. There are to be 3 more seasons with 16 episodes each. Episode 1 of Season 4 is "The Beginning of the End."
