Question about Heroes television series?

Because of Peter Petrelli's ability to absorb and keep the ability of anyone near him, and Gabriel "Sylar" Gray's ability to do the same only through direct homicide, would Peter obtain any abilities Sylar has from his vampirism?

I recall Peter on one occasion using the ability to freeze things, something stolen from someone by Sylar.

yes he can absorb sylar's abilities b/c he absorbs the powers of those he's met, but i'm guessing he hasn't used all of those powers because he doesn't know about everyone sylar has killed and the powers he has acquired, but he did get telekinesis from him, which sylar killed for.

I guess so. Peter absorb all the power that Sylar has, but Peter Petrelli won't kill somebody to get the power like SYLAR.

As Sylar too, posesses powers (ignoring the fact of obtaining it in such a violent way ), the mechanism and concept should be applicable to Sylar as well.

I don't think Peter can absorb anything but an ability that the other person is 'born' with. Most of Sylar's abilities are 'acquired', and I don't think Peter has those. If Peter is able to freeze things, then that idea doesn't work, but I'm pretty sure that the only ability he's absorbed from Sylar is telekinesis, and I think Sylar was born with that one.
